Help Us Start and Maintain Gracie's Place!

Currently there is no special needs or developmental therapy center within 60 miles or more of the Northern Wisconsin towns of Minocqua, Woodruff, Arbor Vitae, Rhinelander, or Lac du Flambeau, to name a few. Parents with special needs children, whether developmentally delayed, autistic, having downs syndrome, cerebral palsy or other challenges, who seek outside resources to supplement and enhance school support or birth-to-three services, have no viable options in Northern Wisconsin. Local hospitals and clinics do not currently treat children for physical, occupational or speech therapy. Northern Wisconsin lacks a developmental therapy center for special needs children. It lacks parental and family support as well as community and training even more. We want to be that place of support, mentoring and community for Northern Wisconsin all while developing a center that helps kids reach their full potential. See our dream at www.gracies-place.org.

With your help Gracie's Place, will create a space that offers state-of-the-art therapeutic equipment as well as an area of respite and community for families. Facilities will include both large open gym area’s as well as smaller enclosed areas, depending on children's needs and skills. In addition, a low level horizontal climbing wall as well as a sensory light and sound room will be created to aid in sensory input and motor planning. All areas would offer highly specialized therapy equipment to meet the needs of each individual child with highly-trained therapist, all in a supportive environment.
